Cooler and drier conditions kick off September

A much improved forecast arrives along with the month of September. Temps will be well below normal through the week, and dew points have dropped nicely as well! Highs yesterday hit 105, just one degree below normal, but today will be even more pleasant.

Through the afternoon, dew points will continue to dry out as Monsoonal Moisture moves farther to the East. That means it will feel more comfortable and evaporative coolers will be much more effective.

We are tracking Tropical Storm Marie which formed overnight. Marie is sitting off the Mexican Coast and will move farther North before turning out into the Pacific. We may see a very modest increase of tropical moisture over the Labor Day weekend, but it is unlikely we will see any significant impacts from that storm.

Temperatures will remain well below normal through the weekend and into next week!
