Palm Springs International Film Festival announces 2027 dates

PALM SPRINGS, CA (KESQ) - The Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will return for its 38th annual edition January 7–18, 2027, bringing international cinema, independent films and documentaries to Palm Springs.

The Palm Springs International Film Awards, presented by Kering, will kick off the festival on Thursday, January 7, at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The awards have become a notable stop on the awards-season calendar, with nearly all of the 2026 honorees later earning Academy Award nominations. The festival also screened all five nominees for Best International Feature Film.

The festival's Opening Night is set for Friday, January 8, followed by Closing Night on Sunday, January 17, and Best of the Fest screenings on Monday, January 18.

Additional programming will include Talking Pictures, Books to Screen and Best International Feature Film panels, offering audiences conversations with filmmakers and cultural changemakers.

PSIFF will also continue its commitment to the Coachella Valley community with the return of Family Day and an expanded Student Screening Day for local high school students.
