Gene Autry closed at the whitewater wash for sand removal, maintenance

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - Palm Springs Police Department issued a traffic alert that North Gene Autry Trail was closed at the whitewater wash.

The alert was issued around 7:17 a.m. on Monday. Palm Springs Police Department says the closure is due to sand removal and maintenance between East Via Escuela and Salvia road.

The work is expected to run through Monday and Tuesday. Make sure to stick with News Channel 3 to learn when the roadway reopens.
