Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near Mecca

A motorcyclist who crashed east of Mecca today suffered moderate injuries and was flown to a hospital in an air ambulance.

The solo-vehicle crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Box Canyon and Painted Canyon roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene, and the motorcyclist was flown to a hospital with serious injuries via an air ambulance.
