A return to normal May temperatures
The below normal temperatures were fun while they lasted but the warm-up has begun yet again. The rest of this evening will be warm but pleasant with clear skies and a fair northwest breeze.
Temperatures will be similar to today into the start of the weekend.
Onshore flow strengthens Friday resulting in gusty west wind around the Coachella Valley. For the more wind-prone locations, gusts could reach 40 MPH.
Triple digits return to the desert on Sunday with the mercury continuing to climb through the week. An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for the Coachella Valley for temperatures up to 110°.
