Vehicle thefts suspect arrested

Suspect in multiple vehicle thefts in Palm Desert and other cities throughout the Coachella Valley arrested.

Members of the Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit began an investigation into the multiple vehicle thefts and identified Palm Desert resident, Ryan Knoedler, 40, as a suspect.

Knoedler was arrested on Wednesday after the Burglary Suppression Unit, with assistance from the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, served a search warrant at a residence on the 42500 block of Kansas Street.

During the search, deputies discovered a stolen motorcycle and two illegal firearms

Knoedler was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for burglary, possession of stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, as well as other charges.
