American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to hold annual community walk

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will hold its annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Saturday, March 24 at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park. You can register here .

Proceeds benefit local and national suicide prevention and awareness programs for the AFSP. Event organizers say walkers and donors have made it possible to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate by 20% by 2025.

Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m. The walk starts at 10 a.m. with an opening ceremony and ends at 12 p.m.
