Twentynine Palms man arrested for possession of stolen firearm, property

A Twentynine Palms man has been arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of stolen property.

On Monday, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 69000 block of Mesa Verde Rd. in Twentynine Palms. Through investigation, the deputies identified 25-year-old Jeremy Shannon as a possible suspect and traveled to 71000 Block of Indian Trail, where they located Shannon.

Shannon was found wearing a bulletproof vest and was in possession of a stolen firearm and ammunition. Shannon was also found in possession of multiple stolen driver’s licenses and credit cards.

Shannon, who is a convicted felon, was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
