Palm Springs man killed in three-vehicle collision
A 25-year-old Palm Springs man was killed following a three-vehicle collision late Friday night.
Palm Springs police said Mario Garcia was killed while another person was injured. It happened just after 11 p.m. Friday near the area of Ramon and El Cielo roads. Police said alcohol was believed to be a factor.
Police said Garcia and one other driver were trapped in the wreckage and both had to be free. The second driver was taken to an area hospital. The occupants in a third vehicle weren’t hurt.
“It is suspected that alcohol may have played a role in this collision,” Palm Springs police said.
The roadways were closed more than six hours while police conducted an investigation.
