Teenager identified after deadly collision in Desert Hot Springs

Desert Hot Springs police are investigating a deadly accident after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Police have confirmed the victim killed was a teenager who lived in the city.

Pamela Carrillo, 17, of Desert Hot Springs died at the scene of the collision.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Palm Drive and Camino Aventura.

Police closed Palm Drive from Camino Aventura and Dillon Road for several hours.

Carrillo was a senior at Desert Hot Springs High School.

The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and is cooperated with the investigation, police said.
