Desert Hot Springs man found after 10 days missing

A Desert Hot Springs man who was last seen on the morning of March 10 has been found safe, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

At approximately 10:45 a.m. on March 12, deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to the 18000 Block of Langlois Road in South Desert Hot Springs regarding a missing person report. Deputies spoke with the wife of 75-year-old William Dorsey, who was reportedly last seen on the morning of March 10.

Dorsey’s wife informed the deputies that he suffered from a mental illness and had wandered off in the past, returning after several days. He was considered at risk due to his mental illness.

Outside of the fact that he was found safe, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has not revealed any additional information on this case.
