Couple displaced following Indio RV fire

Two people have been displaced after their RV caught on fire this morning in Indio.

Cal Fire, Riverside County firefighters responded to the fire just after 7:30 a.m. inside the Shadow Hills RV Resort. Firefighters were able to contain the fire within minutes of arriving.

Firefighters told us on the scene that a couple was leaving when they tried to turn on a generator when the RV caught on fire. The husband and wife were able to escape safely.

Fire officials said the RV is a total loss. Nothing else was damaged in the fire.
