A Fall-Like Finish to Summer in the Coachella Valley

It's the final day of summer as we welcome fall tomorrow! We’re starting the week on the cooler side across the valley, with highs dipping into the mid to upper 90s today—which is several degrees below our seasonal average of 100 degrees.

Temperatures climb very minimally Tuesday and Wednesday, returning to the lower 100s by Thursday. Not much temperature change is expected through the end of the week and into the weekend, with warmer overnight lows in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

An area of low pressure could bring a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms to the mountains Thursday afternoon, but the valley should remain dry.

We’re also monitoring Hurricane Polo well to our south, though it’s still too early to know whether any tropical moisture could reach SoCal late this weekend or next week.
