Police activity halts traffic for over an hour on I-10 at Jefferson Street, road now open
Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound near Jefferson Street in Indio was shut down for over an hour due to police activity. It has since reopened.

All lanes on the I-10 are closed. Traffic was reportedly backed up as far as Washington Street in the West and well past Jackson Street in Indio.

The incident was reported at 3:20 p.m. – I-10 has since reopened to all traffic.
