Fire crews contain 2-story abandoned structure fire in Palm Desert

A commercial structure fire has been reported on the 73300 block of Palm Desert Drive N in Palm Desert. Cal Fire/Riverside County fire crews contained the fire at 3:05 p.m. According to the first arriving fire company, the structure is a two-story abandoned building.

Smoke is visible from the roof. The fire was reported at 2:24 p,m.

There is no word on what sparked the fire. No injuries have been reported at this time
23 firefighters and five fire engines are currently n the scene.
