Roads shut down after crash in Desert Hot Springs
Palm and Hacienda will be shut down for several hours after a multi-vehicle crash in Desert Hot Springs.
According to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, the crash was caused by a vehicle police were in pursuit of. The vehicle ignored a red light on Palm and Hacienda and started a chain reaction that hit two other vehicles.
According to Desert Hot Springs police chief Dale Mondary, the intersection will be shut down for approximately three hours.

Police said that officers the pursuit was started after the vehicle refused to pull over when prompted by police. The suspect was the only person injured in the crash and was not hospitalized. Police apprehended the suspect.
