Street named after Desert Hot Springs High School valedictorian

There’s a new street in Desert Hot Springs and it bares the name of a stand out high school senior

Golden Eagle Esmeralda Salazar and her family celebrated the street naming along with school and city officials. Her name now sits at the corner of Pierson Boulevard and Cholla Drive.

The valedictorian has been a theater student for four years and is a member of the math, drama, and Spanish club. Salazar is graduating with a 4.6 GPA.

She will be going to UC San Diego to study international business.
