Honey Oil Lab found at scene of Palm Springs structure fire
Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters combatted a blaze at a home on the 2100 block of Deborah Road near Via Escuela late this morning. PSPD was on the scene assisting.
Multiple cans of butane were found inside the home. There were signs of severe damage to the back patio after an apparent explosion earlier in the day.
Officials are unsure of injuries at this time and are checking area hospitals for burn victims.
The fire was reported at just before 11:30 a.m. this morning. A neighbor reportedly put in the call this morning after noticing a fire in an adjacent backyard, according to PSPD.
Police found what appeared to be butane used for an illegal honey oil operation when they entered the home.
