Applicants being accepted for Leadership Coachella Valley

Leadership Coachella Valley organizers are looking for members of their next class.

Applications are still being accepted for the 2018-2019 session, which starts in September. The program “fosters involvement in valley-wide needs and concerns by providing perspective and information,” according to a release provided by the organization. Throughout the ten-month series of on-location classes, participants will be exposed to a range of issues affecting the Valley communities. Among the topics this class will explore are government, housing, education, and health care.

The goal of the program is to “identify, motivate and develop future community leaders.”

Candidates will be chosen based on leadership potential and community involvement. Applicants should have lived or worked in the Coachella Valley for at least one year, and be at least 18 years old. If you are interested or know of someone who is, you can find an application here. The deadline for applications is July 31, 2018.
