Man arrested for alleged assault on CCPD officer
A suspect has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a Cathedral City police officer on Saturday.
Tuesday afternoon around 3:00, members of the Coachella Valley Gang Task Force arrested 32-year-old old Steven Flores of Cathedral City at a home in the 30000 block of Robert Road in Thousand Palms.
Flores is facing three felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, evading a police officer/reckless driving, and obstructing/resisting arrest. He is being held on $100,000 bail at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. He is set to appear in court tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. at the Indio Larson Justice Center.
Three other people were also arrested at that location.
40-year-old Richard Langarica and 33-year-old Adrian Lopez were arrested on one charge of felony violation of probation apiece. Langarica is being held in the Indio Jail on $50,000 bail and is set to appear in court on September 19. Lopez is being held in the Indio Jail on $100,000 bail and is set to appear in court at the Larson Justice Center in Indio on July 26.
27-year-old Mayra Sigala was also taken into custody. She is set to appear in court today for a parole revocation hearing.
