Palm Springs Power coach loses home in Carr Fire
A coach for the Palm Springs Power loses everything in Carr Fire.
Zook Richardson is the pitching coach for the Power, a summer collegiate baseball team. The field manager for the team told KESQ & CBS Local 2 left the valley July 23, the day after the end of the Power season and also the same day the Carr Fire started. Richard and his fiance Kacie lost their house and possessions in the fire.
“He lost absolutely everything. I mean, he had a suitcase here in Palm Springs when he left to go back to Redding and it sounds like that’s all they have right now,” said Casey Dill, Palm Springs Power manager.
The Carr Fire has grown to nearly 100,000 acres, at only 20% contained, it is now the 9th most destructive fire in the history of California. The fire has burned over 960 structures.

If you would like to help Richardson and Kacie rebuild, a GoFundMe page has been set-up for donations.
