Coachella Castaeda’s Restaurant robbed

Coachella Police were investigating a fast-food restaurant armed robbery Wednesday morning.

The Riverside County Sheriffs Department said a man with a gun entered Castañeda’s Mexican Food in Coachella at 4:20 a.m.

The business is located on the 51800 block of Harrison Street near the intersection of Avenue 52.

Officials weren’t saying how much money the suspect got away with.

Nobody was injured, and an active investigation was underway.

Another Castañeda’s restaurant had also been recently targeted by a suspect police say has many similarities to at least five other hold-ups around the Coachella Valley.
