Three brothers lose home after Palm Springs mobile home fire

An early morning mobile home fire in Palm Springs has left three brothers without a home.

The fire, which was reported around 4:30 a.m. at the Santiago Sunrise Village Mobile Home Park on the 1500 block of San Rafael Drive, is believed to have started on the porch of the residence, according to a family member.

Palm Springs Fire Battalion Chief Mike Smith said the fire is believed to have started in a power box in front of the mobile home.

The mobile home is a ‘total loss’, according to family members. Smith said no one was injured in the blaze and everyone was out of the home by the time fire crews arrived.

According to the family member, the mobile home had been in the family for the last 20 years.

A GoFundme page has been set up to help with the family’s expense and can be found here.
