Missing Idyllwild man died of hypothermia, according to family member
David Bradish, an 80-year-old Idyllwild man whose body was found over the weekend after going missing on November 26, “apparently died of hypothermia,” according to his daughter-in-law, Jennie Bradish.
David Bradish was last seen on the afternoon on the 26th, when he left his home on the 54500 block of North Circle Drive in Idyllwild with his dog Ginger. Bradish suffered from Alzheimer’s and his family became concerned after he did not return before nightfall.

Bradish’s body was discovered on a remote private property about 2 miles away from his home. There was a lone house on the property, and it was at an elevation about 1,400 feet higher than the town. Bradish was reportedly spotted on a trail camera heading up the trail to that remote area.

Ginger returned down the trail nine days after Bradish went missing. Ginger dug little nests for herself near where Bradish was found, and apparently stayed with Bradish until he died, according to Jennie Bradish.

Ginger is currently recovering, regaining weight – when she came back down the trail, her ribs and spine were poking out, and was severely dehydrated.
