Identity released in DHS pedestrian death
One a man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Desert Hot Springs. The Riverside Coroner’s Office identified him as 58 year-old Anthony Wells of Desert Hot Springs.
According to Cal Fire, the accident happened on Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue at around 9:14 p.m.
Doria Wilms, public information officers for the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, told News Channel 3 the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. DHSPD continues to investigate the incident.
A lane at Palm and Hacienda is blocked off as police investigate. The lights at the intersection are out, so it is stop and go traffic.

This is the second deadly crash in the last couple of hours. At around 6:30 p.m., a man was killed after being struck by an SUV on N Indian Canyon and 19th Avenue.
