Workday named presenting sponsor of Desert Classic
The Desert Classic is sponsored once more.
Workday has been named the presenting sponsor of the 60th annual golf tournament.
Workday will the fill the void left by CareerBuilder; CareerBuilder was named sponsor in May of 2015 and was slated to remain sponsor until 2021, but dropped in November.
Workday has a working relationship with Phil Mickelson, who will once again serve as the event tournament ambassador. The filed will include Mickelson, and 155 other challengers, including defending champ John Rahm,
The PGA Tour Event will be hosted at PGA West in La Quinta from January 14-20. The event has hosted golf greats like Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, John Daly, and Rahm in years passed.
The event is also known for its well-filled-out musical lineups; last year, 10,000 people turned out for headlines Huey Lewis and the News and the Goo Goo Dolls, while this s Sammy Hagar & The Circle and Bad Company are set to perform at the concert series.
