Rain & Snow Moves into SoCal

Another round of storms arrived Monday, bringing widespread rain throughout the Coachella Valley and all of Southern California, with heavy snow totals expected in all mountain areas.

As of 9:00 PM Monday, rainfall totals neared a half inch for many cities around the Coachella Valley.

Rain has tapered for now but there’s a possibility for more on Tuesday, once again giving us a chance to show off our umbrellas with overcast skies for much of the day.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for San Bernardino and Riverside County mountains through 3AM Wednesday with difficult travel conditions already being experienced. Up to a foot of snow possible down to 6,000′.

Yet another winter storm will arrive late Wednesday into Thursday bringing even more of the wet stuff to our desert.

Date Palm between Vista Chino to 30th Avenue has been closed. Whitewater Preserve closed Monday amid concerns of potential flash flooding.

Palm Springs Police warned drivers on social media of possible road closures and flooded streets.
