Update: Man identified in east valley rollover crash

The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified the deceased man in Monday night’s rollover crash as 26 year old Juan Carlos Vega-Alvarado of Thermal.

The crash was reported at 10:49 p.m. near Polk Street and 66th Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers at the scene confirmed only Vega-Alvarado’s vehicle was involved.

No word on any other injuries at this time, CHP is investigating the crash. Stay with News Channel 3 for updates.

This is the fifth deadly crash in the Coachella Valley in four days. On Friday, two people were killed after being struck by vehicles in separate crashes in Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs. Saturday morning, Two people died in a crash in Thermal. Saturday night, a man died after crashing into the guard rail in Cathedral City.
