Recovering deputy released from hospital, visits Sheriff’s station

A deputy who suffered a sudden medical event which took him off the streets in May has been released from the hospital and recently made a visit to the Palm Desert’s Sheriff’s Station.

In early May, the local law enforcement community came together in support of Deputy Jonathan Cosby, who was admitted to the intensive care unit at a local hospital after an “extremely serious medical event” according to the Riverside Sheriff’s Association.

In a post to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station’s Facebook page, Cosby is seen in plain clothes, flanked by fellow deputies.

Deputy Cosby stopped by the station yesterday, he has been released from the hospital for some time and is recovering at home with family.

Deputy Cosby just know your partners & friends miss you and can’t wait to patrol the streets with you again!

The association is working in conjunction with the Family Support Group to assist Cosby’s family while he recovers
