Firefighters rescue dog stuck under concrete patio
Cal Fire / Riverside County firefighters rescued a dog that was trapped under a concrete patio this afternoon.
According to a Cal Fire spokesperson, firefighters initially received reports that the family dog was stuck under the patio at around 3 p.m. in Perris. When firefighters arrived, they discovered that the dog was trapped approximately 8- to 9-feet under the concrete.
The dog had found itself under the patio while it was digging and couldn’t find a way back out of the hole, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.
Firefighters carefully cut out a section of the patio and safely removed the dog and returned it to its family.
