Palm Springs Women in Film and Television group hosts “Filmmaker Brunch”
Palm Springs Women in Film and Television hosted a “Filmmaker Brunch” Saturday morning at Acqua California Bistro at the River in Rancho Mirage.
Organizers say about 75 people attended the event. Students from the afterschool program in Rancho Mirage called “The Musical Theatre University” performed Broadway songs for guests, followed by a series of speakers and panelists in the industry sharing their advice.
“If you have a story and you have to tell it, just do it. It’s all about building a team around you from the technical standpoint to the creative standpoint to the producorial standpoint. Before you know it…you’ll know this person, you’ll know that person and start bringing stories to life,” said Danielle Bisutti, a panelist and actress/writer/director/producer.
Guests interested in acting, writing, producing, directing and songwriting were able to ask questions and meet others locally pursuing the same kinds of careers and projects.
Organizers from the group say they’re always looking for new members and anyone interested is welcome to join them for upcoming events. You can get more information about the group here.
