Driver Leads Police On An Overnight Pursuit Through The Desert

PALM DESERT -A man is in custody accused of leading police on a chase through the desert.

Police say the pursuit began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning at Washington and Mountain View in Palm Desert.

It moved through Indian Wells and La Quinta before coming to an end just before1:00 a.m.back in Palm Desert on Harris Lane just south of Country Club Drive.

The California Highway Patrol set up a spike strip and was able to disable the suspect’s vehicle.

Officers arrested Christopher Ulsh, 47,of La Quinta.

Police suspect he was driving under the influence.

No one was hurt.
