WestJet Expands To Year-Round Service To Desert

PALM SPRINGS – WestJet announced today that it will expand to year-round service at Palm Springs International Airport, beginning in June.

The airline will fly two weekly round trips on Thursday and Sunday from its hub in Calgary. the airline already offers daily flights from Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

“It’s simply great that our Canadian partners recognize how this desert oasis has so much to offer as a tourist destination even in the summer months,” said Thom Nolan, Executive Director of the Palm Springs International Airport. “We look forward to this extended air service bringing more visitors to Palm Springs — and we encourage local residents who go on summer vacation to take advantage of the WestJet flights back to Calgary – which will connect you to cities throughout Canada.”
