Indio Motel Fire Causes $10,000 Damage
INDIO -A small fire broke out at the Motel6 in Indio, this morning.
Fire officials say it started in the laundry room around 9:40.
Six engines arrived at the motelon Indio Boulevard, and put out the fire in about fifteen minutes.
Fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire, but they want to remind residents to check their dryers regularly.
“Most importantly, keep your dryer clean,” said Battalion Chief D. Talbot. “Keep your lint screen clean. And once a year, pull your dryer out and get all that dust and lint out from behind it. And make sure the dryer vent is also clean.”
No one was injured.
The fire caused about$10,000 in damages.
