Long Lines As Middle School Raises Money For Fire Victim

PALM SPRINGS – Drivers waited in long lines, this afternoon, as students at Raymond Cree Middle School held yet another car wash to raise money for Ciria Silva.Silva’s mother, brother, and sisters were all killed in a tragic New Year’s Day fire in their mobile home in the Windy Point area off Highway 111. A cause hasn’t been determined.

Silva was a member of the middle school choir, which decided to donate a large chunk of its travel fund to her in the form of a trust to help her attend college.
