News Producer, KIFI-TV, Idaho Falls, ID

KIFI Local News 8 is looking for an entry-level News Producer who can write conversational news stories that engage viewers.

KIFI Local News 8 is rated as the #1 news organization in the market and is committed to providing the best news content for eastern Idaho and western Wyoming.

You will work with some of the highest digital technology in the market, including Sony XDCAM cameras, AVID editors, ENPS and two live trucks.

Eastern Idaho is an outdoor paradise with Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks just a couple of hours away from our main studios.

Candidates should have a four-year degree in communications, journalism or a similar field. They must also have experience in reporting news either from another professional broadcast news station or a well produced college or university program.

This position will require you to write and rewrite stories from the AP, ABC, CNN and other local station. You will also be expected to come up with story ideas and work with reporters to develop the best ways to present their stories. You will also be required to write compelling teases for our newscasts and keep our award winning website up-to-date with the latest news. You must also be available to work all shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays.
