‘Chop House’ Robbers Caught

PALM DESERT -Two men are behinds bars, this afternoon, after an armed robbery at a popular steakhouse last month.

Back on January 12thpolice saytwo men robbedtwo other people in the parking lot of the “Chop House” at the corner of Highway 111 and Portola.

They took cash and jewelry, then ran off.

Late last night, police located thetwo suspects in a guest room at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Joe and Jesse Valenzuela, both from Thousand Palms, surrendered after a brief standoff.

Investigators searched the room and found two guns, as well as drug paraphernalia.

They’re both being held at the Indio jail.
