Mayor To Deliver ‘State Of The City’ In Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS – Mayor Steve Pougnet will deliver his “State of the City” address at lunchtime at the Renaissance Palm Springs.

His speech comes at a time when the city is reeling from economic problems, drops in tourism, and stores shuttering their windows.

Pougnet and the city council have come up with some ways to lure new business into the city, but many point out, it’s not a cure-all.

Pougnet is also wrapped up in a campaign to unseat Rep. Mary Bono Mack and her 45th Congressional District Seat.
