Democratic Senator Evan Bayh Not Seeking A Third Term
INDIANAPOLIS -Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana says he won’t seek a third term in Congress.
Bayh says he’s lost passion for serving in the senate and wants to quote”contribute to society in another way.”
His departure continues a trend in which several senators and house members from both parties have decided to retire.
Bayh’s retirement adds to the democrats’ struggle to hold on to the 59 votes they now have in the senate.
