Woman Airlifted To Palm Springs After I-10 Crash

DESERT CENTER – One person has been airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs after a crash involving a motorhome.

It happened shortly after 11am, two miles east of Red Cloud on the westbound side of Interstate 10, according to CHP Officer Ramon Perez.

He says the motorhome blew a tire, and crashed into a ditch in the center median.

A man was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance, and animal control officers were brought in to help take care of two dogs in the motorhome.

Interstate 10 was shut down for about 15 minutes, while the helicopter loaded the victim, suffering major injuries.
