Remains Found Near 29 Palms May Be Missing Person
TWENTYNINE PALMS – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies say human remains found in the high desert, this weekend, could be those of a missing person out of Arizona.
The remains were found on Friday in an area of Wheeler, north of Brant Crossing.
About a half-mile away from the remains, deputies say they found a vehicle, which belonged to an elderly missing person out of Arizona, described as having dementia.
The missing person report was made on February 6, 2010, and the missing person was last seen on February 2, 2010.
Saturday, crews found more human remains in the same area, which they say will help them in a positive identification of the person.
