Some Charges Dropped Against Former Softball Coach’s Husband

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office reached a plea agreement with Ronald Nieto.

Nieto is the registered sex offender who volunteered with the Palm Desert High School girls’ softball team.

He pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him, while the DA?s office dismissed the other 3 charges.

If he is charged with another crime in the future, Nieto will be charged with a felony, and he could face prison time.

Nieto’s wife who coached the team was fired.
