Hourlong Chase Ends With Suspect Being Shot
Police in Long Beach have shot an armed robbery suspect after he led authorities on an hourlong chase that began in San Bernardino County.
California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Vince Ramirez says Redlands police requested help Monday pursuing a suspect who was heading westbound on Interstate 10.

The suspect ended up in Long Beach, where footage from a news helicopter showed him driving through red lights at busy intersections and occasionally swerving onto the wrong side of the road.
The suspect ended up in a parking lot by the beach.
Witnesses told the Long Beach Press Telegram they heard one gunshot followed by several more.
The suspect was taken to the hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.
