All Lanes Of Interstate 10 Re-Open After 15 Hour Closure

All lanes are open to traffic on Interstate 10 after more than 15 hours of clean-up following a big rig accident yesterday afternoon.

The truck was carrying 170 gallons of insecticide when it rolled over and spilled on the freeway.

It happened about 2:30pm Tuesday near mile marker 99; that’s about 30 minutes east of the valley.

The trucker suffered serious injuries after his truck rolled over, and had to be cut out of the cab of the rig.

Emergency officials took him to the hospital by helicopter.

At 8:00 last night the backup was up to 15 miles long.

A hazardous cleanup crew came in at around 12:30, this morning.

They had to up work against the traffic because of cars blocking the other side.
