Police Look For 14-Year-Old Murder Suspect

Police today identified a 14-year-old Hemet boy as a suspect in a fatal shooting.

Eduardo Francisco Arredondo, also known as “Kentucky,” is known to shave his left eyebrow and wear black “plugs” in both earlobes, Hemet police Cpl. Jeff Dill said.

Arredondo is suspected in the June 21 shooting death of 42-year-old David Michael McDonnell, he said. Police have not disclosed a motive.

Arredondo is believed to be hiding and getting help from friends or family members, Dill said.

McDonnell was found shot at a mobile home park in the 1400 block of South State Street about 7:30 p.m. that Monday night and he died shortly afterward, police said.

Arredondo is Latino, about 5 feet 6 inches and 120 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes, police said.

Anyone with information as to Arredondo’s whereabouts was asked to call police at (951) 765-2400.
