Liquor Store Clerk Shot Over Beer

An Indio liquor store clerk is in the hospital after being shot over some beer.

At just after 10 pm Wednesday night 4 men entered the Sherman’s Liquor store on Oasis St. in Indio and stole some beer. The group of men ran to a white Toyota hatchback with black rims in the parking lot to flee the scene.

The clerk followed them to the parking lot to get a description of the vehicle when he was shot. Indio Police tells News Channel 3 that the clerk’s injuries are not life threatening.
