City Moves To Take Over Desert Fashion Plaza

Could the Desert Fashion Plaza property soon be owned by the city of Palm Springs?

Wednesday night, Mayor Steve Pougnet asked staff to send a letter to Wessman Development indicating that the city would like to acquire the property.

This would be done after the completion of a city-contracted appraisal.

No word if Wessman would consider the proposal if issued, but city staff says the item is on the council’s December 15th agenda for more discussion.
