Woman Plows Car Into Southern California 7-Eleven

An investigation was under way today into a crash in San Marcos in which a motorist crashed her Mercury Grand Marquis into a 7- Eleven, seriously injuring a customer inside the convenience store, authorities said.

The crash at 1650 W. San Marcos Blvd. occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Deputy Tammy Bennetts.

The customer, Carlos Martinez of Mexico, was taken to Palomar Medical Center with serious head trauma, she said.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver, Teresa Petersen of San Marcos, would be cited.
