Alhambra Man Vanishes Near Whitewater

An Alhambra man whose rented vehicle, wallet and personal property were found in Whitewater remained missing today, a sheriff’s sergeant said.

Investigators determined that 48-year-old Paul Kluge parked a Hyundai Accent on Whitewater Cutoff Road, near the Whitewater River, last Sunday, said Sgt. Sean Bahash of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies found the vehicle on Wednesday, but uncovered no signs of foul play or evidence that Kluge was distraught, Bahash said.

No one has come forward to report Kluge missing, but investigators have entered the man into a national database as a missing person.

An aerial and ground search of the area showed no signs of Kluge, who is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s department at (951) 922-7100.
