Missing Alhambra Man Found Dead In Whitewater

Coroner’s investigators determined today that a body pulled from Whitewater River is that of an Alhambra man.

Paul Kluge, 48, was reported missing Friday, by authorities, after his personal effects were found in a rented silver Hyundai Accent at the Whitewater Road Cutoff, near the river, and his information was entered into a national missing persons database. No one else had reported him missing.

Authorities learned that the car had been parked there since Nov. 28.

Coroner’s officials said the body was positively identified as that of Kluge and his next of kin have been notified. An autopsy was performed, but the cause of death has been withheld, pending additional tests.

Investigators with the sheriff’s Cabazon Station and the department’s Central Homicide Unit are assigned to the case.
